HOW WE LIVE IN MOSCOW NOW?

Some friends of mine from US and Europe are asking me daily about the live we have now at Moscow. Most of them are absolutely sure that at the moment we are dying of hunger, that there is no food in supermakets, no money in ATMs, riots all around the city.

They are unlucky to believe mass media. When I see how mass media works during current crisi, I prefer to call them not MASS MEDIA but ASS MEDIA.

It was so difficult to convince my friends that life HAS NOT CHANGED A LOT in Moscow.

Supermarkets are full of foods and everything you need. There was a shortage of sugar when everybody rushed to buy it in enormous quantities for around a week, but now we do not see the problem any more.

Banking system inside Russia works smoothly, no problem with cash in ATM, no problem with cards, no problem with accounts.

Prices went up for about 15-20 % as a result of decrease of currency rate and general turmoil. It bites, of course, but do not kills.

SO LIFE IS MORE OR LESS AS IT USED TO BE.

BUT THE MOOD IS ANOTHER STORY.

I will tell about the mood of common Russians in the next post.
